He ain't ready. First it was injectors, now his FAST intake requires a new water pump and front cover I believe he said. I submitted my build article to Sport Truck last night and was informed we have another month. Other than powering the A/C and alternator through the FAST (both need crank signals to operate) I'm done, but I welcome the extension for tuning time and to get all the fabbed pieces powdercoated. If I get the okay from Calin at Sport Truck I'll preview/post the article here. It really doesn't do the build justice though - cramming a month of 18 hour days into 16 pics and 1200 words.

I did get to finally take it out on the road Wednesday though. I don't quite have the words to describe it, except for SICK! I never went beyond half throttle and the truck kicked the 285s out to the side with any significant throttle pressure. Then there's the sound. Save for NHRA Super and Pro Stock engines, I've never heard anything like it in person. A blip of the throttle sends the Rs shooting up and fast. It's as if there is NO resistance on the crank. She's a tire smoker for sure.

The high stall is somewhat of a pain driving around the neighborhood, but I'll cope. I need to get a temp gauge on that bad boy - lots of slipping below 3600 equates to lots of heat especially with this much power and weight.

We definitely have some tuning to do, which I'm headed to the shop right now, and I need to get some real gas in it. There's a little uncontrolled airfield by the shop that sells 100LL for $3.85 a gallon. I intend to use a whole tank this weekend getting it dialed in. I already ordered a new pair of tires from Toyo yesterday.

I added some new pics last week - gotta bunch more I need to add.

By the way - my boy was born last Saturday!!!! 8 pounds 8.2 ounces, 21" long. He's awesome!

Thanks, Marc!

The cal-tracs are on, but I don't think they're going to help much. LOL

New pics and hopefully video tonight, maybe an ET slip if I want to chance driving it to the track with long-since expired tags/inspection.

What's the word? This forum is LONG gone! Jared, where ya been? How's the truck?

I'm still VERY interested in the FAST XFI setup, but I can't get straight answers. Haven't been to hard about it cause no $$$ for it yet, but I think that's the way I'm going to go.
