just joined forum an have a few questions
i own a 03 ram1500q/c 4wd 5.7 hemi mag
engine went bad at 64k
new engine installed by dealer now has 2k miles, an rear main oil leak.
my problem is the old engine with a bad cyl would out preform this new engine hands down, better power, fuel miliage. i have lost 3-4 mpg with this pig engine i got now an can be out run by about any thing on the road. this thing will not even turn a tire from a dead stop, unless the road is wet. just wandering what changes have been made to the later model hemis compared to the 03 models, as the new stuff on this engine appears to be newer model heads, cam, short block. then topped off with old intake, throttle body, coils, injectors. wandering if old is compatable with new. also is it possible to get timming 180 degrees out any help would be apprecated.
