Hi!

I got a problem, I made a engine swap in my charger 68
http://www.garaget.org/?car=134709
and got rid of the injection to go carb instead and I used the XV
motorsports carb kit to do it.

In the kit I got the Msd 6hemi controller to handle the sparks, but it runs
rough and weak.
I guess I got an controller thats not been programmed at XV as they said
they`ll do.

Now to the problem, I cant change the timing..
I can change the timing in the RPM timing curve file and send it to the Msd
but it just dont get it...

I got the min-max timing set to 12-35 degrees cause thats my only way to
get the engine to run with somewhat "good" timing.
The map advance curve is stock and this are the rest of the settings.

MAP sensor select- 1-bar
Timing source-built in
Oem timingmod-0 degrees
Idle timingcontroll-ON
Wastesparkoption-OFF

I got full timing(35deg) at 1900rpm
and thats gonna be wrong with the stock timingcurve from MSD..

Thanks for any help!!

Hi again! (he said to none)

I`ve found that I can change the timing now but now the MAPsensor curve`s the problem...

I dont know what curve to set, it still runs rough.

I got an PSIa at 7PSIa at idle, is that ok????

Any ideas?????

I checked the timing settings on my hemi 6. Shut the idol timing controll off. I also have no vaccume advance (I ran the settings to 0 degrees) and I found on my application that it runs best on 34 degrees total all in at 3000rpm. If you are still having troubble woith the settings, I could send you the file that I use if I had your email address. all you would need to do is download it to your hemi6. Let me know how you make out. The other problem I ran into was having enough voltage at the coils and the msd. I ended up putting a relay inline so that I made sure they get full voltage.

5.7L Hemi, CNC ported heads with oversize valves, 11-1 compression ratio, Custom Comp Cam, Custom Ross pistons, Eagle rods, 6.1L crank, Dual quads, Cryo treated rockertrain with custom rocker locks and hold downs, Remote mounted coils with MSD Hemi6, SOON TO COME 150hp N2O, ETC, ETC in a 68 cuda

Ok,and Iguess yours spinn like a cat..?

I`ve tried alot off settings and now I`m beginning to think my E3 sparks are gone or at least
they`re very dirty from all the testing with better or worse results...

I`m gonna send you my email adress so if you could send me the settings that would be great.

Thanks!
