Well my friend has a 04 Durango with a 5.7. Its making a tapping noise on right side, its louder underneath but its a higher pitch noise than a rod.(sounds like when you put baseball cards in spokes of a bike)when you rev the engine up the noise follows the rpm's up and down. But is louder at higher rpm's but runs good and dont miss.
