For HEMI drag racers, a driveshaft safety loop is a must have safety enhancement and required by many NHRA classes. Every professional class racecar has a safety loop because HEMI engines with large increases in horsepower and torque may break drive-train parts. The last thing you need is for your driveshaft flung onto the track- thus damaging your car and sending it off the track. Our safety loop is integrated into our lightweight transmission crossmember. Weighing in at 8 pounds, the crossmember and safety loop are only 2 lbs heavier than the OEM Dodge transmission crossmember.
