Arrington 426 HEMI Powered, 76mm Turbocharged 2008 Jeep SRT8!
The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 makes a surprisingly good performance car and of course it is a 4x4, too! Even stock, it has the 6.1L (pictured) or the 6.4L HEMI engine making great power for an SUV -- as much as 430RWHP. But were we satisfied? Not even close. We tried for double that and almost made it.
Our engineers worked out this 800RWHP setup using a 76mm turbo mounted in the right front of the engine bay (picture below). We upgraded the block to an all-forged 426 built for high-boost, put in a better fuel system pump and injectors because the stock parts won't go to 800, and made sure the transmission and torque converter could handle the extra power thanks to SHR and ProTorque.
Then we cranked it up to 11 with our custom tune -- actually cranked it up to almost 16 psi of turbo boost. See the results below.
