Arrington R5P7 Powers BHR Victory

Arrington-Powered Dennis Setzer Wins Kroger 250

Bobby Hamilton Racing Wins Kroger 250

MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY, March 29, 2008 Bobby Hamilton Racing plunged back into victory lane with a dominating win by Dennis Setzer driving the #18 Dodge Ram, sponsored by AquaDuck. The BHR team now boasts it’s 20th win on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series.

In a chassis designed by Bobby Hamilton Sr., Setzer logged his 18th NASCAR truck victory by leading 126 of the 250 laps. Despite a grueling race, with multi-truck pileups, eight caution flags and two red flags, Setzer displayed his smooth driving skills as he picked off competitors one by one and then held on to first place. He is currently standing in the top 10 of the 2008 Craftsman Truck series.

This was the first outright win for Bobby Hamilton Racing since Hamilton Sr. won at Mansfield Motorsports Park in 2005. “This win right here is for Bobby Hamilton” shouted crew chief Marcus Richmond after Setzer crossed the finish line. Hamilton passed away from complications due to head cancer in 2007.

“I ran second to Bobby the year he won the championship, in 2004,” Setzer said after the race. “We always raced really hard against each other, but off the track, we were the best of friends. I respected him a lot and to take this team back to victory lane means a lot.”“Emotions are running high right now,” said team owner Lori Hamilton. “After Bobby passed away, we all agreed that if we couldn’t do it with him then we would do it in honor of him. So, to win at our new home track in the fashion that Dennis did today is an amazing accomplishment for us and for Dodge Motorsports.

Together we did it - for Bobby Hamilton.”The team moved to Martinsville in 2007 in order to be close to Arrington Engines in an effort to better align itself in the NASCAR community. "This is a step in the right direction for BHR and for us," Joey Arrington said. "It is our goal to get Dodge Motorsports back on top of its game in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. We will learn more, grow bigger and continue to carry on Bobby's goals together."
